In short: A pleasant velvety chocolaty sweet stout with a hint of smoke. Good beer.
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Black body topped by a medium tan head with medium retention
In long: Nose has a bit of smoke and blackened slightly chocolaty malts. Body is full and velvety. The velvety creamy texture and chocolaty flavors bring a sensation of drinking a black cake with a thin chocolate glazing. Probably a good amount of oat in the mal bill. There’s also a bit of smoke. It is a relatively low abv beer but the sweetness sensation is a little to high to make this a session beer. Another nice beer I drank after spending 5 hours at an ice-cider festival. I have a message to sober people out there: Why?

Deep dark stout with a thin lacing dark brown head. In aroma, a smooth grassy chocolate malt with roasted coffee and milky finale. In mouth, a nice smooth sweet milk chocolate with light coffee grinds, silky mouthfeel, Nestle quick, very nice. On tap at brewpub, Feb. 24 2012.
