Good for the style owing to an edgy bitterness. Green tea was inetresting. Very lacey.

(Rating #3626)

A hazy yellow wit with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, light bananas and cloves, with soapy notes. In mouth, a nice banana puree, with fruity notes, a bit of berry, but, overall, a bit thin. On tap at brewpub, May 10 2009.

Pours a hazy, peachy yellow color with a thin white head. The aroma has a classic witbier profile of banana and coriander, but there’s also a spicy, fresh green tea presence. Good flavor of tart banana and coriander with again, a spicy, refreshing feeling from the green tea. The body is light to medium with a creamy texture and gentle carbonation. Interesting experiment.

Sampled during their second anniversary party, cloudy yellow gold, with a white head, with a yeasty, wheaty, and a fruity nose of bananas, candied pineapples, peaches, apricots, hint of green thea leafiness, with a coriander spiciness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with yeasty, wheaty character, nice fruity accent of peaches, bananas and pineapples, more fruitier on the german side, than the belgian side, because less acidic and lemon-flavoured from his fruitiness, and for sure more wheaty like a weizen, still offring a subtle bitterness from the green thea leaves, a spicy coriander note, leading towards a wheaty, mild fruity acidic finish.
