(automne 2006)

Objectively speaking: As with most blueberry ales, a refreshing, but not so flavourful ale.
I like: Cleansing carbonation. Soft flowery tones. More dry than sweet which enhances the drinkability.
I dislike: It’s not juicy, it’s not perfumey, it’s just beer with light blueberry notes. And if bedondaine can’t manage to extract the flavours better, it must be difficult indeed to work with blueberries. Not much acidity.

(Rating #726)

Earthy, biscuity aroma with pleasantly light blueberry character. Hazy violet-amber coloured nectar is topped by a light white head that recedes fairly rapidly to ring. Toasted malt sweetness offsets the lightly acidic fruitiness of the blueberries. There is nothing here that screams fruit, but it is unmistakeably an enjoyable fruit flavour. Somewhat dry and well attenuated with fair carbonation. On tap at the brewpub with MartinT and Olivier_MTL.

Pours a cloudy blueberry red color with a thin white head. Delicate aroma of blueberries with lingering sweetness. Delicate and pleasant flavor of blueberries with a sweet finish. Medium to full body with a smooth texture. This blueberry beer has it’s merits, it’s fruity, sweet and smooth but doesn’t have the depth of the other beers of this very good brewpub.

A beautiful blueish-red hue harboring subtle earthy blueberry emanations...Fruitiness is diplomatic, as malt sweetness and roundness build up as it warms up...Suggestions of acidity dry up the sweetness, and call for another sip...

Robe rouge aux reflets roses. Mousse s’estompant rapidement. Arômes légers de fruits. Saveurs de bleuets sauvages et de malt. Légèrement houblonnée. Bien balancée.

Reddish-amber hue, with a thin foamy white head, shy fruity nose of berries, and hint of tartness follows through on a meduim-bodied palate with fruity berries character, mostly blueberries, with a soft acidity, hint of tartness, leading to good fruity acidity finish.
