Clear copper minimal white head soft carbonation. A: citrusy some caramel. F: med body finish is bitter and long. O: OK lacking a bit of aroma nice clean bitterness.

En fût chez Bedondaine. Couleur ambrée. Arômes de malt, céréales et levures. Goût de houblon floral, de céréales et très légères notes de fruits. En finale une amertume honnête.

BQ2010. Draft at Bedondaine in Chambly. Pours a amber body with small white lacing. Aroma was pretty bland. Slightly malty. Smooth mouthfeel but lacking flavor.

Tasted this beer while on Beer Quest 2010 with the guys. This was beer number 59. Not a great brew. Aroma was bland. Slightly malty. Smooth to drink but not much flavor.

Draft at brewpub. Rich golden amber color, smallish white head, pleasant toffee aroma. Very enjoyable ale with just enough hops to brink to fruity flavors forward. A bit thin in body but the taste makes up for it.

My Bottom Line:
The constant earthy and orangey hop display is seamlessly integrated to the round caramel maltiness, assuring a healthy, pleasant session Pale Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam settles atop the clear russet.
-The hop signature and grain bill are surely cousins of L’Amère Veilleuse, their star ESB.
-Leafy hop resins conjure up a satisfying finishing bitterness.
-The plump mouthfeel is one of its most pleasurable features.

Comments: Somehow, my glass was completely clear and I found the body less rich than what I expect at that brewpub. Huge suggestions of pear amongst others. The result was a certainly honest offering, but not one I think I’ll ever pick again amongst their usual 12 offerings.

The pour reveals a cloudy amber color with a thin offwhite head. Appealing aroma of caramel, fruity hops and peaches. Good, long lasting flavor of burnt caramel, citrusy hops and peaches with a bitter finish. The body is light to medium with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. Another well-done beer from Quebec’s master of balance.

Cloudy orange color, with a light beige head. It has a good aroma of malt. The taste has some bitterness that leaves a good taste in your mouth and also a good after taste.

Fin, fin, fin! De la robe, au nez, à la palette, cette biere chante si réalistement, pourtant si doucement des houblons arômatiques (des herbes fraises, vertes, poignantes), des peaus-malts douces et souples et des fruits badins. Un arôme massif que peut sentir au loin de la verre. Des fruits ronds (des cerises sèches), des houblons en abondance et un peu de levure.
Une moyenne quantité des houblons au début, avec une fabuleuse qualité très parfumée. La texture est très substantielle, mais la bière est bien attenuée. Des peaus sucres restent, avec une ombre d’adhérance, créant un équilibre parfait. La carbonisation est légère et engageante. Des fruits, peut-être des noix, nougats (très secs) et des notes de thé s’értenisent.....
