Bu sur place, un vendredi le 13 (juin 2008), en fut (12 oz), veillie de 9 mois. Blonde volée, mince collet. Arome de minsmeat épicé et de citrouille malté. Goût d’agrumes et de citrouilles épicé mais peu sucré, très bien malté. Bière intéressant et chanceuse?!

5 oz taster, on tap, aged 5 months. Blond pour, some white head. Spicy aroma, caracteristic of pumpkin beers. I pick up on the nutmeg and cinnamon mainly, good use of cloves (not too present). Taste is much the same, quite spicey on a well rounded malt sweetness. I would have prefered a bit more balance because as interesting as this beer is I think it would probably be barely drinkable by the pint.

On tap at Bedondaine et Bodons ronds. The color is a hazy orange with a thick beige head. The aroma is of spicies and mince meat. The taste is also of spicies and malt and citrus fruits. A very good beer for a friday the 13th.

This is what i dont like in so called *special* beer : you never know what to expect and it’s very hard for me to rate because i always oppose beer i taste to their styles (what they should look like/taste/smell/etc.)
So i have to find something else to rate fruit beers.. Not tooo much fruits but enough to feel the ’fruit part’ of it, but the ’beer part’ tends to be overwhelmed.

But anyway, this is also a nice beer from Bebondaine. You do smell the cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves and of course the pumpkin. Ok, so it smells what it is meant to smell, so that good. The texture is nice, but you have to like fruit/spice beer. The color? well.. it’s amber/orange, which is good too since it’s the color of the pumpkin. The taste... well.. hum.. it’s an ’ok beer’ and a very good fruit/spice/herb beer, so i rate the flavor high, compared to other fruits/spice/herb i tried so far.

Verre à la brasserie. Arôme: Odeur d’épices (Gingembre et cannelle entre autre) et de citrouille. Apparence: La couleur est ambrée orangée avec une absence de bulle. Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une large dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de citrouille et d’épices (La cannelle se démarque vraiment). La durée de l’arrière goût est moyenne. Palette: Le corps est moyen et la texture est minérale. L’effervescence en bouche est faible. Présence de cannelle en arrière goût. (Rating #343)

Robe orangée voilée surmontée d’une mousse blanche timide. Arômes de chair de citrouille, de muscade et de canelle. Saveurs de citrouille, de muscade, de gingembre et de levure.

Hazy amber-orangeish hue, with a foamy white head, spicy, predominance of herbal notes, ginger, clove, even cinnamon, hint of pumpkin and caramel malt aromas follow through on a medium-bodied spicy palate with a complex spiciness flavors of ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin, sweet malty accent, leading towards a dry hops finish. A nice beer.

Pours a nice cloudy orange color with a thin white head. Good aroma of pumpkin, nutmeg and clove. Good flavor of pumkin, nutmeg and clove. The body is medium with a creamy texture and lively carbonation.
