COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Belgian Maple glows a russet sunset orange colour mixed with a shade of mahogany underneath a large tan foam cap. Aromas radiate showcasing rich toffee, sweet caramelization and round notes of maple syrup. The flavour follow suit adding to it rum raisins, bananas and generous spice and fruit from the Belgian yeast. Its strength is balanced with a smooth and lush body leading to a warming and satisfyingly sweet finish.

Brown sugar aroma. Brown sugary and toffee taste. Clear brown in colour. Low medium carbonation.

625 ml bottle from brewery. Pours a nearly clear orangey amber with small off-white cap. Aroma is quite sweet with caramel and maple, with an odd fruity note. Flavour is also rather sweet with caramel, maple syrup and, again, a rather unsual fruity tang. Average body. Some interesting stuff going on, but not sure it’s really my cup of tea.

Tap at t o fest of beer, pours a dark brown, a nice maple smell, the taste was maple but not too much maple and a nice belgian yeast flavour, a good finish and a nice offering

On tap at The Rhino summer festival. Very sweet. One of the more carbonated beers I have had recently. Orange colour.

Bottle [625ml] shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jercraigs & mabel -- c/o GregClow. Pours a hazy orange-amber with an average size diminishing frothy off-white head. Aroma is sweet, a bit too sweet for me, with maple syrup, caramel malt, yeast and phenols. Flavour of malt and maple syrup, also sweet, with a hint of plastic. Average bodied. Not great, just O.K.

2013-06-28. Hazy dark amber orange body modest beige head. Aroma has an old quality to it at first, maple has a bit of a tang to it. Flavour is sweet up front, mild bitterness. Interesting tang to it, similar to the aroma the maple presents pleasantly but a bit strangely. Smooth average bodied palate, moderate carbonation. Bottle shared by GregClow

"...it tasted good bc it was made with love. NO! It tastes good because it was made with LARD!!!"

Bottle from batch 1 (9%). Pours with a maple colored body, moderate hazy with a tan head that is quick to fade. Aromas are yeasty with both fruit esters and phenols, spicy buckwheat like notes, cardamom, smells pretty dry compared to the flavor. Flavors are medium sweet and strongly alcoholic. Spicy, rough grain character. Some maple. Very lively carbonation with a somewhat fuller body.

13 days from bottling so it should be fresh. It pours a hazed golden-brown colour with very little head, yet a white ring forms against the edge of the chalice. The aroma is faint maple, yeast, caramel, and some nutty character. The flavour is slightly sour malt, yeasty, and a maple sugar burnt note in the finish. One of their worst efforts to date for me.

Deep brown muddy pour with a thin white head. The nose has an odd sort of phenolic/plasticy aroma. Overripe fruit, plums, burnt fruit leather and an odd vegetal aroma as well. A little bit of rancid pear and some weird spice. Flavour is dead and dull with a muted sweetness and more burnt plastic. Holy crap - I’ve liked everything these guys have made up to this point, but this is a miss on a colossal scale. Terrible.
