3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasted from handful at Volstead. This beer appeared hazy orange in colour with a temporary white head. Where it lacked in appearance (even though the colour was lovely), it made up for it in aroma with lush Seville orange marmalade, golden peaches and tangy passionfruit. There was just a faint suggestion of pepper as well. The aroma was good and strong and led to a gratifyingly robust flavour. Bitterness was plentiful, leading to a long finish. I reckon if this doesn’t sell out too quickly and is allowed to mature a bit and settle, it will overcome the haze and head issues. Lovely stuff, a perfect after-cricket pint.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Inviting citrus aroma in an amber pour. Superb example of the Antipodean take on the style. Restrained hop forward taste with sweet body and sustained clean finish. The best Beer Baroness brew (to my taste) so far.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hm, I was glad to have a taster card for this brewery at the Chch Beer festival. This is a formidable pale ale, with the type of fruity (bitter hoppy) flavour and the resinous feel that I love. If only I did not get much of that cashew apple on the aroma.... I personally hate cashew apples and unfortunately the aroma was so pungent that it reminded me of that. Still, the beer was so good that I can live with that aroma.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The head is ok, the body gold-brown. It smells fruity, hoppy, bitter. The taste is bitter, hopintensive, bit malty. Intensive and nice. 3.6
