Cask conditioned at Moreton in Marsh Beer Fest ’10. Gold with white head. There is a long cleanish maltiness, quite crisp and light, but just lacking a bit of diversion. It’s reasonable enough.

Cask, handpump @ The Beer Engine, Newton St. Cyres, Devon.
Golden amber, bright as bright with a lasting, dense, short white crown that lasts to lace well. Barnyard and gritty, toasted grains, hay, fresh baked white bread, orange marmalade, lemon zest and rose water come through in the aroma, quite bold. Moderately malty palate, good level of gritty barnyard grains meets drawing fruit esters, citric, tangy with notes of fresh squeezed orange, peach, pear and bitter lime peel. Dusty toasted grains and fruit in the swallow, quite dry with good length. Very well balanced, light in body with plenty of character to keep me interested. I like this one. A great session ale.

Cask Stillage at Nottingham Castle, Nottingham 09/10/2009 Some malt and fruit aroma. Golden coloured slightly hoppy and creamy on the palate. A little bitterness in a crisp and dry finish.
