4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Interesting. On tap at a local brewfest. The ABV was not apparent like I expected..was very subdued. The nose has the peanut butter but it was more hidden (a good thing) on the taste. It had just enough sweetness to balance the style and wasnít cloying as some beers this strong tend to be. Itís unique and absolutely worth trying.

As others have said, it may be 12%, but the flavor is smooth, so the alcohol doesnít seem so sharp. Very much a dessert beer.

Tap. Pours clear reddish brown, medium beige head, great lacing. aroma really is peanut butter, caramel. Flavor is about the same, medium sweet, minimal bitterness. PB taste there but not overpowering. A nice beer, but i am not sure i could drink a full pint

Dude! It tastes like peanut butter and porter, mixed. I don't know that I could drink more than a couple, and at 12% + ABV, I shouldn't anyway. Very unique beer. I should chase with a glass of milk.... stout

Tap at J. Clyde in Birmingham. Wait, this was 13%??? Jesus, no wonder the taste was so big. It was a bit boozy but the taste covered it well. Tasted like beer concentrate. Near-black pour, small head. Nose of peanut butter, chocolate, vanilla, and a bit of caramel. Tastes like that multiplied a few times. Bomber in the store was only $4.99. Wish our local breweries in Durham would recognize that should be their price point and not $15-20 for their stronger beers. Get that shit outta here.

Poured up on tap at GABF 2012 with a mahogany looking body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up a little bit of roasted malts, peanut butter and with a big pull a little earthy too. Wow, the taste is rich and delicious with roasted malts, some malt sweetness, maybe some molasses and then pretty rich peanut butter midway and lingering into the finish. Wow (again) this is yummy. Iím not sure if a full pint of this is going to be as good but in a sample size this is perfect! Yep, a 9 for flavor, giddey - - up!!

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
My second Alabama beer. Sampled at GABF 2012. This doesnít work for me. Way too sweet. Peanut butter should be more salty, savory and this doesnít have it for me.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma: peanut butter chocolate candy.
Appearance: very dark brown.
Taste: Resseís Peanut Butter Cups. No, seriously! Peanut butter, chocolate, slightly boozy, but it hides the 13% ABV very well indeed.
Palate: smooth, rich, but not as thick as you may expect. Easy on the palate.
Overall: a fascinating, unique beer that I had the privilege of sampling at the 2012 Magic City Brewfest. Itíll be bottled in bombers starting from August 2012.
