Rich amber pour. White head. The aroma is softly sweet and malty. Fairly clean with a nice light vienna flavour. Lightly hopped, but clean. Pretty fresh and tasty actually. Light toasted malt with a little bit of sweetness on the finish. Well attenuated.

Had it at the Santa Fe shopping mall in Mexico city. I felt a very artificial taste in this, watered down with a caramel and smokey taste. Its better than other Mexican Viennas but maybe i dont like the style too much. I dont know why there are so many viennas in Mexico.

UPDATED: OCT 31, 2008 I went to the Beer Factory in Puebla and ordered this while watching a baseball game. The appearance is typical of a vienna-style beer, and the flavor and aroma are very pleasing. No bitterness, and in my opinion a better alternative to the stout they also offer. If you are in Mexico City or Puebla, make it a point to go to a Beer Factory.

Bottle courtesy of Nekronos. A nice reddish amber lager with a thick big bubbled light moka head, lacing. Light caramel aroma, bready. In mouth, a light caramel malt, light roasted notes, very light bodied, with some reisdual nutty notes. Muchas gracias Raul.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 blankboy (4437) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 18, 2006
Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow & tupalev -- courtesy of GregClow. Pours a hazy amber-brown with a small diminishing off-white head. Aroma was unexpected, there was the expected caramel malt but it had a pleasant smokiness to it. Flavour’s quite malty with some burnt or smoky notes and herbal hops -- a little watery. Light to medium bodied. Pretty good, an interesting take on the style and one of the best Mexican beers I’ve tried.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 tupalev (2730) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 18, 2006
Bottle shared with GregClow, Hogtown Harry, and Blankboy, courtesy of Greg. Interesting burnt caramel aroma - root beer like. Copper no head. Decent taste: very woody/roasty malt, long nutty linger. Thin but not too watery. Best of the 3 Mexican Viennas we started the tasting with, but still not something I would reach for.

Bottle shared with blankboy, tupalev & HogTownHarry - my bottle via a trade with Nekronos. Clear dark amber with a moderate off-white head. Aroma has nice notes of caramel, malt and a faint smokiness. Body is a bit thin, but OK for the style. Flavour is very clean and fresh, with light malt, some burnt sugar, and interesting herbal notes in the finish. Not exciting, but very well made.

UPDATED: SEP 6, 2006 Bottle (325ml). Shared with blankboy, GregClow and tupalev, GregClow’s bottle via Nekronos. Deepish copper with a small off-white foamy head. Dry roasty leafy aroma, quite grainy, not much sweetness, herbal, dry hops. Taste is sweeter, a little syrupy, not bad, a little bland. Average body, lightly carbonated, sticky. Ehhh, nicely made, but not memorable.
