COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle. Replacement organised by the brewer given not so great rating of the Lupulus. To say I was impressed with the customer service is an understatement. Pours very dark brown with creamy tan coloured head. Nice lacing and great looking beer in the glass. Aromas are dominated by sweet coffee liquor. Some roasted bitterness in the back and just a hint of sourness coming through. Good stuff. Strong flavours of sweet choclate and mily coffee. Sublte roasted bitterness comes through on the finish. Super creamy mouthfeel. Good beer.

Bottle. Very dark brown pour with a shor tan head that quickly shrinks to surface cover. Aroma is roasty and chocolatey with hints of coffee and licorice. Flavour has more coffee up front and starts out bitter but gives way to chocolatey sweetness. Medium to light bodied with low carbonation and a lingering bittersweet finish. Very nice stout, exceptionally easy to drink.

UPDATED: JUN 1, 2013 Not at all sweet to my tastes. Wonderful hit of coffee and chocolate on the nose; very pronouced and clean. Palate shows some sweet hints of the same flavours but also quite a roasted and astringent character that really dries the palate out. Finishes with an exoctic spice / aniseed / licorice note. Pretty good stuff.
