Den hårda rostningen finns även lite i smaken även om den inte är lika framträdande där. Istället framträder en sötare smak av i det närmaste mjölkchoklad. Viss humlebeska i avslutningen. Välbalanserad men hade gärna sett lite mer av allt.

500ml bottle pours black in color with a 2 finger light brown head that leaves some excellent lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild but pleasant with chocolate, roasted grains and citrus. Taste is a chocolate malty sweetness with a roasted grains and citrus hop bitterness. Medium bodied with adequate carbonation. A delicious stout that is well balanced and recommended.

Bottle bought in Denmark, pours near black with a fine thick beige head, nose brings cocoa, hints of ginger and cinder toffee, and a touch of milk. Body is initially dry and roasty with a slightly cremy texture, then treacle emerging in the mid-body, along with a spicy burnt caramel and roast coffee note. Finally a long burnt-bitter coffee and milk chocolate finish.

From a 500ml bottle on 2/6/2013 (shared by Butz with thanks). Pours close to black with a biggish head that subsides quickly. Has a pleasant chocolate malt aroma and some slight roasty notes. The flavour is a lovely balance of coffee and chocolate, with a medium roasty bitterness. Has a fullish body and medium bitterness. A very nice stout.

Malzig-getreidig in der Nase, Laktose. Start süßmalzig, sanft. Mitte sanft, samtig, schokoladig, Nougat, milchig. Bitterschokoladiger Ausklang, leicht fruchtig. Gut.

Nose shows coffee, roasted malt and little else. Nice though.
Bittersweet flavours of roasted malt and roasted coffee again. The coffee seems a bit stale though.
Could use a little more carbonation.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours pitch black with dark tan head. Huge roasted coffee and dark chocolate nose, with a light soy aroma. Taste is dark chocolate, cocoa, espresso, soy milk and an earthy yeast. Body was a bit thinner than I expected, was hoping for thicker. Nice beer for a winter night.

Bottle@guren. Small head. Black. Intense coffee, toffee and pine notes. Fresh well balanced bitter-tart-(sweetness). The lactose well hidden. A Great brew also to the father of the child.

Tap at Fermentoren, Copenhagen. Poured a dark mahogany with a thin long-lasting head. The flavour is medium bitter, with loads of chocolate, coffee and roasted malt. The palate is super smooth. A very drinkable beer and at 6% makes a great beer for a session if that floats your boat!

Short deep-brown head that stays as a lace.
Huge chocolate and coffey aroma but also a bit of soy.
A dark chocolate taste with big body. The choclate bitterness lasts long time. A beer more suited for the winter than the spring.

On tap at Fermentoren, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma of coffee, mocha, and some chocolate. Flavour brings out sweet chocolate malts, mocha and coffee beans. Medium-to-high sweetness, with a thick body. Characterized mostly by the chocolate and secondarily by the coffee. Great stuff.
