3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Gramoit (249) - AUSTRALIA - AUG 23, 2012
Roasted malts on the nose with some coffee. Taste includes mostly chocolate and some coffee with a hint of some hoppyness. Pretty impressive beer that lacks a little body and some flavour but quite sessionable. I am happy I bought two of these.

0.5l bottle. Another one of the cats! This one purrs a licorice-murky brown body with a medium sized sidesticking light brown head. It smells quite a lot, and it smells pretty darn nice! Lot’s of black licorice, chocolate, roasted sweet goodies and a strong fresh hoppy thing that’s holding it all nicely together. It actually in some bizarre way reminds me of new-car smell! Flavors? Oh yeah.. Light sweet and roasted with both salty licorice, thin chocolate, cold coffee, dark caramel, bitter and cutting-through hops. The only thing reminding me that this is a 4.7percenter is the body that’s a bit on the light side, but hey, this is another fine and really impressive one from one amazing brewer. In my opinion the whole series should be mandatory in all Norwegian grocery stores. 29.06.2012

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 a_cross (320) - Poole, Dorset, ENGLAND - JUL 11, 2012
UPDATED: SEP 23, 2012 Deepest ruby-brown with a thin beige head; aroma of roast malt and dark fruit; lashings of velvety chocolate in the taste alongside roasted malt, with a dash of toffee and vanilla; a balancing floral hop bitter finish; smooth and ever so slightly spicy; a quality flavoursome beer that tastes much stronger than it is; sessionable, but at £6.10 a bottle it won’t be a session I’ll be having very often (very glad I tried it though).
