COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle 9C. Dark brown with an inch of beige head. Very fruity aroma with gooseberries, grass clippings, lychees and darkish caramel. Thinnish body. Taste has a little burnt malt, chocolate, licorice and the mentioned fruit. Fruity finish with growing roasted bitterness. As usual with sort of thing some of the hop aromatics are somewhat obscured, but in this case the fruity bits of the Kiwi hops remain whilst ironically the cat’s piss / cleaning fluid is mostly buried.

On tat @fairbar, Aarhus. Deep brown body with a small tan head. Good lacings. Nose of exotic fruits and roasted caramel. Hoppy flavor of tropical fruits, citrus and roasted malts. Medium bodied, watery to oily texture and soft carbonation. Very nice bitter finish. Black IPA is one of my favorites but I think this one needs more roasted malts.

500 ml bottle. Dark brown, almost black. Clear. Tall light fluffy beige head that clings to the glass. Bold hoppy aroma with notes of licorice. Ashy aroma. Peppery and minty flavours. Licorice flavours. Medium body. Grassy hop flavours. A really strange beer, which reminds me of liquid sweet licorice mixed with grassy hops. Very flavourful for a beer this low in alcohol.

Bottle. Pours dark amber, off white head. Floral notes and citrus sweetness in aroma. Dark malts and flowery hops in taste. Big taste for a 4,7%ABV beer.

In the glass, black as night, with lots of brown foam. Smells very aroma hoppy, Cascade, also slightly like dark malts and caramel. The beer starts with a heavy malt body, roasting coffee-bitter, with a wonderful aroma hops in the background, which increase more and more, by time. The finish turns out again very strong to dark malts, slightly bitter, with strong aromas of roasted coffee. Terrific beer!

Bottle from De Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Poured a deep dark brown colour with a generous tan head. Enticing nose of piney hop, citrus, roasted malts and dark chocolate. Flavour was a decent mix of roasted malt, citrus and some well judged hop bitterness. Considering its strength there is a lot packed in here. This black cat is more than welcome to cross my path any time.

Pours dark brown with a quickly fading small head. Tropical fruit on the nose along with sweet caramel and roasty malt. Very similar flavours, tropical hops and a small amount of roasty malt. Finishes with a bold hoppy bitterness. Carbonation is suitably moderate...
