COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle. Thanks to Enjoyit. Pours black with a firm light brown head. Some lacing. Aroma is roasted with pine hops; like a mix of a stout and an (I)IPA. Well-balanced and very nice. Flavour is pretty much like the aroma; again; well-balanced and very nice. Finish is a lingering bitterness with roasted and tart notes. Soft palate with a touch of too much carbonation; otherwise very good. A beer like this could have been quite cloying in the long run, but surprisingly isn’t at all. A great beer. 22-05-09.

Bottle @ Ølfestival, Valby, 2009.
Pours almost black with a small, fizzy, off-white head. Aroma is very roasted with some flowery hops that are actually quite subdued. Medium carbonation and a fine, creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is bitter, hard roasted malts, hops, dryness, flowery, grassy and some pine. Slightly burning, vinious finish.

Marsiblursi (2675) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 17, 2009
(Bottle) Pours black with a large, creamy brown head. The aroma is heavily (dry) hopped with a striking green profile of resiny wood, dry grapefruit, earth and sticky cannabis alongside mild herbal and mild floral hints. The roasted malt brings dry tones of liquorice, tar, coffee and some dark chocolate. A whisper of smoke and spicy rye is also present. A typical Danish nose with boat loads of roast and hops. Some hints of brown sugar make the aroma more complex. The flavour is lightly sweet, lightly acidic and medium to heavily bitter. Tones of resin, wood, grapefruit, flowers, coffee, brown sugar, asphalt, tar and liquorice. The mouthfeel is soft, round and light creamy with light to medium carbonation. Citric resiny hops and roast lingers. Medium to full bodied. Pretty much like an old Ølfabrikken beer - but on hop crack. Nice.

Flaske: Dejlig humlet duft på en sort øl, med et lille skumhoved. Urtet smag, efter et par mundfulde til, ekstrem urtet smag. Trækker virkelig ned på drikbarheden og er ærgeligt på noget der lovede så godt.

Bottle. High and lasting brown head. Pitch black body. Roasted barley malt aroma. Choccolate coffee flavor with smoke and spicy notes. Flavor of coffee choccolate liquorice grass and a fair amount of hops bitterness. Low carbonation. Long bitter aftertaste. Alcohol percentage seems right.
