3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy burnt red color with a one finger white to off white foamy head that dissipated within about thirty seconds leaving some light lacing speckling around the glass.
The smell had some caramel malts with a slight sweet fruit surrounding it.
The taste was moderately sweet with a light bitter edge of the citrus fruit rind.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation seemed good for the style and for me leaving a semi-creamy effect coating my tongue.
Overall, this was a pretty good Amber/Red ale that I would have again.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
A reddish orange coloured beer with a thick yellowish-white coloured head. A strong fruity hop aroma, orange and grapefruit in particular, plus grassy fresh hop. Dry mouthfeel. A potent hoppy bitterness in the taste, pithy orange and grapefruit flavours, along with a piney, grassy flavour. Then there a light, meaty yeasty flavour that tempers the hoppiness. The finish stays with the pithy and grassy hop flavours.
