COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

maneliquor (1187) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAY 20, 2012
Bottle thanks to Papsoe. This beer has intensity about it straight from the pour all the way to the finish. Pours oily black with no head. Nose is whisky, ash, dark chocolate, peppers and light vanilla. A little bit mish mash but it lets you know you’re about to get a punch in the nuts. Taste has the same intensity but the flavours transition a little better than the nose. Loads of pepper and salted dark chocolate up front with peppers and spice through the middle. Finishes ashy with faint whisky. Solid beer. Thin mouth feel and a little too sweet for such a big beer. Perfect sized bottle, even to share

Leighton (4091) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 3, 2012
Bottle at the RBESG 2011 Grand Tasting, London. Pours oily black-brown with a small, filmy head. Roasty nose with some alcohol and aged dark malts. Big sweet flavor with a weird, kind of peaty and earthy character. Pretty big in body with average carbonation. Some burnt sugar and peat and wet wood to finish. Not bad. Pretty interesting.

I like the danish description ;o). And I like the beer. Black. Has an off-white head, medium duration. Aroma is heavy black, coffee, chocolate, soy-sauce, laqurice. Heavy sweet flavor, burning alcohol, moderate bitterness, more soft laqurice, long-long-loong duration. Syrupy texture. Flat carbonation.

Palme (1437) - Bergen, NORWAY - OCT 31, 2011
0.25l bottle @ The Bishops Arms (Vasagatan), Stockholm. Pours a dark as the night body with a thin and quickly fading and light bubbly off-white head. The aroma is dark dark dark with chocolate, burned roasted malts, coffee, dark licorice and sugar. Soft carbonation in a oily as hell and light sticky mouthfeel. Fantastic roasted, sweet, boozy and black flavors. There is dark Belgian chocolate with lots and lots of roasted goodness in here. Warming as hell in the finish. Greatness x 2. It’s just such a great sipper and a fantastically flavorful beer. Love it.

Bottle, sample. Black thick liquid, no head whatsoever. Awesome aroma: sweet, very malty, liqueur, chocolate, licorice, dried and dark fruits, molasses. Taste: an odd spiciness, chocolate, licorice, dill eller sill, salt/soy sauce, burnt, high bitterness, alcohol is well hidden. Full-bodied, liqueur-ish. Very interesting brew.

25 cl bottle @ Pikkulintu.
Rated on 20110729.
Pitch black colour with no head. Aroma of dark roasted malts, liquorice, soy-like salmiac and some coffee. Flavour of liquorice, salmiac and tacky syrup. Surprisingly easy to drink despite the high ABV.
