lusikka (6184) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 20, 2014
330 ml bottle. Pours an amber brown colour with a small head. Aroma is very sweet with some caramel notes, bread and yeastiness. Flavour of sweet caramel malts, bread, some spiciness, herbal tanginess and some mild citrus notes. Medium bodied. Alcohol is surprisingly well hidden. Way too sweet for me. Decent.

AgentAle (628) - Alberta, CANADA - AUG 2, 2014
Aroma is a sweet wine, roasty malts, candy sugar, caramel and raisin. Taste is roasted sweet rich malt with caramel met with a nice hop profile which presents a slight earthiness and light hint of grapefruit. Warm alcohol feel at finish but surprisingly smooth . Body is a murky brown/amber with a beige head that retains fairly well.

BeerViking (2427) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 2, 2014
Bottle, cloudy deep brown, spicy malty nose with faint tart and farmhouse notes. Very dry and lightly tart, with winey hoppy notes, hints of liquorice and toffee, immensely dry-sweet and astringent bitter.

Palme (3284) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUL 17, 2014
0.5l bottle from Barleywine. It immediately creates a huge super non typical barley wine head this. Massive lacings from a deep beige almost brown light fluffy lingering head. All this on top of a really cloudy, near murky deep dark brown body. Love the super sticky glazes hop-nutty aroma here. Loaded with sticky toffee malt sweetness, nut cake (fyrstekake), burned gunpowder, dried licorice, some wet minerallish rocks and it just smells fantastic this! Tastes amazing as well. This is one of those you can just sit at for hours without growing tired of it. It has a thick near sticky oily feeling on the mouth and it’s soft and prickling on the mild carbonation. So tasty! Lots of sweet dark malty caramel blended with dark fruits, warming alcohol, a ton of sharp grassy hops that just cuts directly through all the nice sweetness. Also I get tones of both dried licorice, wet rocks and lots of nuts. Hints of dried cocoa and a gentle warming, but super masked also burn in the aftertaste here. Yeah, I’m impressed. Damn good, and dangerous! 16.03.2014

Tap @ Fairbar. Murky brownish with a small ring on top. Nose is sweet malty with some exotic fruits, peach and pineapple. Taste is sweet, bready and some light citrus. Finishes dry and quite boozy.

Scopey (6661) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 14, 2014
Keg at Kings Arm’s. It pours murky brown with a small beige head. The nose is sweet, piney, varnish, raisins, spice, cake, toffee, date and candy. The taste is sweet, cakey, hot cross bun, earth, booze, wood, varnish, date, leather with a warming finish. Full body, fine carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Hefty action.... Punchy, but not overly drinkable.

Leighton (10698) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 14, 2014
Daft at the Kings Arms - London. Pours hazy amber-brown with a creamy, off-white head. The nose has some ripe, lightly dried fruits, berries, toasty toffee, bread. Medium to big sweet flavor, some booze-soaked fruits, berries, bitter grape skins, wood, fruitcake. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warm finish, pretty sweet, with bitter earth and wood, more skins, dried fruits, burnt honey. Pretty OK.

w_adwersarz (137) - Cracow, POLAND - MAY 29, 2014
Aromat ładny owocowy, ziołowy, lekko rodzynkowy, odrobinę alkohol czuć, ale w przyjemny sposób nic nachalnego. W kolorze brązu , konkretnie zmętnione. Piana bardzo ładna, drobnopęcherzykowa, kremowa, pozostawiająca ładny lacing. Słodowe, z wysokim wysyceniem, raczej wytrawne z ziołową goryczką. Alkohol dobrze zamaskowany, jedynie lekkie rozgrzewanie w przełyku

Gerbeer (1724) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 21, 2014
On tap. Pours a hazy brown with moderate head. Aromas of brown sugar, toasted malts and corn/grain. Flavors of sweet malts, toffee, grass and resin. Smooth for a barley one,
