4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours an opaque very dark brown with large creamy tan head that settles and leaves a good amount of lace on the glass. Aroma is chocolate, mild roasted malts, toffee, nutty, bready and overall sweet maybe even some dark dried fruits(plumish). Taste is roasted malts, chocolate, toffee, mild alcohol, medium bitterness, nutty, wood like and a nice creamy mouthfeel. With the 8 abv it’s a little high for style but this is a pretty tasty beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. A dense, finger thick beige head sits on top of a deark brown body. Cute lacings. The aroma is heavily roasted, tending towards burnt, with dark chocolate and coffee. Some sweetness in the flavor, but not enough to deal with the bitterness. Roasted malts, dark chocolate and coffee both in the initial flavor and in the lasting finish. A bit one dimensional this one, but pretty nice anyway. 131116
