3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Ibrew2or3 (5777) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - APR 29, 2013
Growler pour from Whole Foods in Chandler, AZ pours clear deep copper with thin gold edges and supporting a dirty white head of foam that leaves behind spotty lacing. The aroma offers up citrus hops and some malty breadiness. The taste is citrus hops that mostly have soft edges and roll into a modest degree of sweet maltiness and then a bit of bread dough. It grows in citrus hop bitterness to midway and into the finish. Pretty tame and soft for an IPA but pretty darn tasty.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 marcus (5005) - Sacramento, California, USA - APR 26, 2013
Bottle from City Beer. Pours golden with a rich beige head and a light floral aroma. There is a medium-bodied caramel malt flavor with a hint of rye bitterness and an even more bitter finish.

Bottle shared by Marcus as Ryehopper. Pours brassy gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is mixed floral/spice - rather strong. Med body. It starts a bit sweet. Hints of rye spice. Hop then, then comes malt. Finishes increasingly bitter. Gettin’ bitter all the time. Subtle in its way.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Bierkrug (1919) - Idar-Oberstein (In Iraq), Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - APR 22, 2013
500 ml bottle given as a gift. Pours gold-orange color with a beige head. Aroma is heavy pine with some grapefruit ccoming through. Not smelling much of a malt presence. Taste is underwhelming. Mild bitterness from start to finish. Mouthfeel is crisp and clean. Palate is light bodied with a long nasty aftertaste. A ggod beer just no pleasure since this style has little interest or liking from me.

On tap at the Bulldog in Baton Rouge. Amber with a white head. The aroma is fairly sweet with some floral and perfume notes. The flavor is more of the same. I get some perfume notes as well as some candy sugar, a light amount of bitterness and some light caramel. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
