Bottle, mybrewerytap.com. Strong hop aroma, with pungent resinous pine and sharp citrus. Woody, sweet caramel counters the initial bitterness, the finish is reasonably short, but a rounded sweetness lingers in the mouth. Late grassiness with some toasted almonds. A good IPA.

Sampled from tap at SBWF 2011. September 30th, 2011
A nice fresh and hoppy IPA! The aroma is filled with clean green hops, grapefruit and pine needles. Thick bodied with a big hop packed flavour of more grapefruit and grass. A light sweetness is present. Finishes with a big bitter punch.

Bouteille 500ml.

Bottle. Large white head that mostly lasted. Fair display of lacework. Cloudy amber color. Aroma of floral, grapefruit, citrus, caramel and light fruity and citrus like notes. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and light dry texture. Moderated bitter and sweet flavor. Dry like bitter finish.

500 ml bottle. BBE 25.12.2012.
Pours a hazy orange colour with a small, foamy but lacy head. Aroma of strong floral hops, caramel and grass. Flavour of floral hops, caramel, pine needles and loads of sweet fruits. Medium bodied with a quite sweet, fruity, crispy finish. A fresh bottle would be a killer, this bottle has seen it’s best days I guess.

Pours orange with a medium foamy head. Strong fruity aroma with notes of citrus and pine. Taste is fruity and citrusy with notes of pine. Rye malts don’t really taste. Bitter and fruity finish. Well balanced IPA.

In short: An archetypical american-style IPA lacking carbonation. Good nonetheless.
How: Bottle 500ml. Consumed relatively fresh, a month after receiving it through private importation, more than 1.5 year before expiration date
The look: Cloudy orangy-amber body topped by a small beige head
In long: The hoppy nose (d’uh!) is grapefruity, oranges, scented flowers and coniferous. Solid malt backbone with sticky honeyed biscuity malts similar to chinese restaurant fortune cookies. Also a bit of caramel. Hopping has the characteristics of the aroma (citrusy, flowery, coniferous) and it is also a bit spicy and slightly resinous. Carbonation was lacking in my bottle and that really took away from the enjoyment. The beer is overall a little sweet for the style. I like that label as if beer was some kind of drug you can get addicted to. Ha ha ha! … ha … oups.

Bottle from Ølbutikken enjoyed at home
Dark copper hazy, thick tanned head. Aroma has flowers, citrus, zests, grass and hints of smoked malts. Taste is medium malty, good sweetness, and also alot of rye. Very nice palate here. Feel is quite oily and smooth. To finish the whole thing there is bitter hops with notes of grass and citrus zests. Very nice beer! I want more :) And awsome label too

Bottle. Amber hazy body with a medium sized offwhite head. Really hoppy aroma with grass, citrus fruit, straw and malt. Grassy taste with caramel, pine and grapefruit. Thick body and a nice bitter finish. Love the label.

Hazy dark orange, bit amber colored. Fantastic hoppy smell and taste. Light body though, soft carbonation, but long bitter hoppy aftertaste.
