COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

500 mL bottle. I believe I got this one from Plovmand - thanks Thomas. Hazy, rusty brown. Beige head. Typical ASA aroma, with big Simcoe or Chinook or some such hop, along with an equal amount of caramel. This one smells better than it tastes, though. Not that it tastes bad; it’s just not as big as the aroma suggests.

50 cl bottle @ home. Pours murky brown with some sediment and a large off-white head that fades leaving some lacing. Aroma is caramel malt and hops (particularly pine and resin). Taste is both malty and hoppy with a bitter finish and some warming alcohol.

On tap @ Ølfestival København 2012 A chestnut-brown beer with small sidesticking off-white head. Aroma is subtle and kind, I get some fruity tones with a sweet malty touch. Soft to average carbonation with a slick texture. Soft and gentle flavors as well, some cocoa and sweet malts. Ends with a light warming aftertaste. 10.05.2012

Draught. Hazy dark brown with a solid white head. The taste is somewhat boozy, but contains lots of hops too. Pine tree and nuts pops into my mind. A little bit of smoke as well? I think the palate is the best part of this beer, since it’s kinda thick without being sticky like a barley wine. Quite standard quality in general.

Dark copper-brown color, steady brown head. Hops and fruity caramel in the nose. Medium-bodied. Nice piney hoppyness, not too agressive, good drinkability. Nutty maltyness, even some caramel. Hides 9 % very well. Good.

(bottle) Cloudy, dark brown colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Sweet toast-malty aroma with notes of cough syrup and loads of citric fruity hops from behind. Bitter-sweet flavour, full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Hearty and moderately toated malt-character, again with notes of cough syrup, caramel and fruity, also a bit piney hops, lingering into the bitter and moderately sweet finish with balanced and hearty malty accents. 07.III.12
