UPDATED: AUG 30, 2009 Bottle, from trade with Papsoe. It’s a hazy, orange-golden beer with a dense, finger-thick beige head. Oranges, peaches and a sweetish hint in the aroma. The flavor has a sweet, malty backbone, and peachy, orangey and piney hops to support it. Full-bodied. The finish has a nice bitterness, and resiny and fruity flavors. Except for the orange flavor and aroma there’s not much Christmasy with this one, but it’s a really good one. 090619

3fourths (7799) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - AUG 22, 2009
UPDATED: AUG 23, 2009 Unfiltered glowing yellow body, white head. Softly pungent yeast in the nose: light note of eggy citrus fruit, some Amarillo cheesiness, some Simcoe cattiness, but overall very fresh/vibrant/zesty/citrus focused. Soft carbonation clashes with assertive bitterness and some candied/gelatinous orange, lemon, mango and lime. Cheese cloth and egg notes are amplified in the finish. Good but weird.

(Bottle, purchased at Ölbutikken, Copenhagen) Hazy, amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, hoppy nose with orange, grapefruit and dried apricots. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of grapefruit, orange peel, pine needles and resin in a long, bitter finish. Bitterness actually grows with time. Slightly above medium body, balanced sweetness. Lovely IPA with a fantastic hop character nicely balanced with a solid malt foundation. Well crafted.

MPA (779) - Amager (form. Nørrebro&Aalborg), DENMARK - AUG 9, 2009
Bottle (cellphone rating). Hazy golden with an off white head. Nose of oranges, grape, grass, a little caramel and syrup. Flavour is sweet with syrup notes, fruity with oranges and has a god powerful bitterness, which manages to not dominate the flavour and leave the rest out. Quite soft in the mouth. Nice.
