4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
At Copenhagen Beer Festival. Brown colour. Lovely aroma and flavour of brown and lightly roasted malts, caramel, rye bread and a little chocolate, mixed with distinct fruity (apricot, melon, citrus) hops. I was sceptical how well Citra hops would fit in a brown ale, but Beer Here have succeeded. Good stuff!

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: JUL 28, 2011 (10 cl on tap, CBF 2011 as well as 50 cl bottle from Toft Vin) Pours a reddish brown with medium, toffee head that laces the glass. Aroma is unusually (for the style) fruity citra hop style with notes of caramel malt. Almost creamy texture on the palate with medium carbonation. Full bodied with a long, dry finish. Taste is bitter, toasted and rich with a herbal hop character. Refreshingly unconventional - extra points for well implemented originality.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
bottle at home.
clear brown, huge smooth light brown head.
Strong aroma of citra hops (glass is 30cm away and i can rate the aroma remotely) Aroma is bitterhoppy, citrussy, faint sweet malty. Very nice.
flavor is malty, dry from hops, slighlty grapefruity, palate is smooth. Flavor and aroma is so hoppy that if I had blind tasted this one i would likely have guessed on black ipa, double ipa or american strong ale. Way more hoppy than anything else i’ve had that claimed to be a brown ale. Be warned. If anythnig it might taste like a blend between a brown ale and an IPA: Tasty, quenching, a little sweet (for an ipa) but superdry and hoppy (for a brown ale). Another unique brew from CSA.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
23-APR-2011, bottle @home, from "Fish & Beer".
Mahogany with grey head.
I close my eyes and it is an IPA.
Extremely bitter, earthy, citric notes, almost petrol, grape fruit.
A hard to find malty background is there, the hops just dominate.
Extreme brown ale:-)

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
23/04/2011 Domus Birrae (tap). Corpo medio, carbonazione generosa. Una eccellente brown ale.
