COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Clear brown, small thight head. Aroma of coffee and green aplle - pear. Ok body with clean, balanced mouth. More pear and some resin hop. Nice bitter finish. Almost like "Black IPA" in style. Not your everyday Brown ale :)

Expected an IPA due to its name, was surprised when a dark brown ale was given to me. Light tan head. Hop and citrus nose. Malt, raisin, hop, citrus aroma. Good body and carbonation, well balanced. Sweet and bitter, light bitter ending. Good.

Was totally expecting something different given the beer’s name. Thought that I’d pour a 24 karat elixir with bright pungent citrus bursting from the glass. Instead I got a chestnut body with a mahogany core and a latte colored head. Mocha, cocoa, roasted coffee, and resinous piney hops are all present. Distinct. Interesting. Not a bad brown!

On tap at Schouskjelleren. Reddish brown body. Small tan head with good lacing. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and bread. The best brown ale I?ve tasted so far, although it?s almost like a stout. Feels excellent in the mouth, but the alcohol taste becomes dominating. Very balanced and good.
