A decadent stout, inspired by the special British ales exported to the Russian Court, during the 18th century. It is black and viscous like crude oil from the oil fields in the Caspian Sea. The flavor is dominated by dark notes of burnt sugar, spicy hops and smokiness from peaked malt. Unpasteurized * Unfiltered * Bottle-conditioned.
Ingredients: water, barley malt, sugar, hops, yeast.

500ml bottle. Pours an opaque black, with a large beige head, which lasts very well, leaving excellent lacing. The aroma is a weighty and quite savoury mix of cured meats, espresso and some mild spice notes. Quite strong spice and pepper hops lead into a surprisingly smooth blend of smoke and charcuterie notes. The finish has a nice bitter cocoa flavour to it. This is an interesting imperial stout, both quite hoppy and unusually savoury. Nevertheless, it all works well together to create a hefty and very pleasant stout.

Tap@ølhus københavn. Black. Soft roasty, slight vinous nose. Sweet salty, licorice, some salmiak. Wooden tones. Thick mouthfeel, close to porridgy. Smooth. Pretty assertive bitters though, leaves a clean finish. Roasty, woodsly. Roasty, again. Surprisingly easy tho. A sipper, but considering how much the liquid weights in the glass, the abv, i was half expecting a spoon to go with it. A roasty full stout.

Draught. Near black in color with a thick and creamy tan head. Salty fresh licorice, bit of herbal killepitsch vibes and notes of dark chocolate in aroma. Later on some dark chocolate mousse as well. Salty licorice in taste at first. Light biting spicy mouthfeel, otherwise quite smooth and well balanced. Leaves a nice lacing on the glass. Nice warming effect, which is appriceated on a cold winter day like this one. Roasted licoricy and some smoky notes in the end. Also some bitter hops. Not that complex, but instead really enjoyable and has an easy drinkability, could have a bunch of this one, just like to øl goliath.
