English: Belgian Strong ale finished with lactic acid bacteriae and matured on Danish red wine casks with sour cherries.

Bottle courtesy of Beerandblues2, thanks! Cloudy brownish maroon color, tan edge head. Aroma of sour cherries, lemon meringue, brandy. Taste is sweet and softly sour candied maraschino cherries, hints of cocoa and subtle coffee. Booze shows through.

Well, picked this up as an extra in Denmark from a very nice trader! almost no head, murky plum color pour. Nose is very lactic, loads of cherry. Very sour. TasteWow. Very sour with loads of cherries, lots of oakiness and tannins nutty finish. it’s interesting but not all that mind-blowing.

Bottle received via trade with thewolf. Pours clear brown with a garnet hue, short frothy light tan head, short retention with no lacing. Aroma is spicy alcohol, cherries, caramel and cookie malt with earthy hops. Flavor is lightly tart cherries, moderate supporting malt with light alcohol and hops, bitterness and a dry finish. Medium body and light carbonation.

Bottled. An extra in trade with a long lost trading friend in Europe whos name I have unfortunately forgotten. Deep red brown color and a fine ring of head. Great aroma of sour yeast, oak wood, biscuit and hay. Acetic puckering flavor smothered with cherry and wild funk. Finish is more sweet than dry and sour like I would prefer from a kriek. Complex overall and thoroughly enjoyable! This has at least 3 years of age based on trade record and the layer of dust on it whence I pulled it from the cellar.

Sampled at SBWF-11 Murky reddish colour. Sweet cherries and not very sour at all. More like an ordinary Belgian ale.

(Bottle) Pours muddy brown, almost no head. The aroma holds tart red berries (cherries and raspberries), green apples, citrus, buttery/light vanilla-driven wood, fat malt (cookies, bread and light caramel), touch of cheese, vinegar, cinnamon/spices and an interesting yeast profile. The flavour is near dry, near medium acidic with almost no bitterness. Notes of cherries, raspberries, well balanced/ malt, and vinegar alongside a touch of funk and wood. The mouthfeel is light tar and round with light carbonation. Citric and balanced malt finish. Near medium bodied.

Bottle from Thewolf, thanks! Murky brown color. No head. Cherry, almond and lemon in the aroma. Sour flavor with vinegar notes, cherry and leather. salty even. Looks ugly, smells nice enough.
