3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is malty, sweet, fruity and very hoppy - peach and pine. Flavor is rather sweet and very bitter. Dry and bitter finish. An excellent APA at only 4.7 % ABV. 231009

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle from IPB. At home.
Appearance : Clear pale amber with a medium creamy white head. Leaves nice lacing.
Aroma : Great fresh and floral hops with nice chewy and bready malts. Nice fruits.
Taste : Lots of malt with nice fresh and floral hops. Carbonation is really flat. A bit too flat for the style IMHO. Finish has nice chewy malts with great hops. Light white sugar.
Overall : Very nice APA. Too bad the carbonation is so low. Nice hops and very nice malt. Low bitterness. Awesome lacing.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Head gone in secs over straw-amber beer with a slight haze. Grapey C-hops, a bit of corianderleaf (cilandro) and cardboard. Grapey, with some C-hops over pale malts, bit cookies flavour. Very light MF, well-carbonated. Nice, if light American pale ale, very authentic. Txs to J & C !

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml bottle (bierkompass.de)
7 lovely hoppy aroma, several varieties, it’s fruity, spicy, and bitter.
4 RIch orange, persistent small head, lots of lacing.
7 Tangy hops and sweet spicy malts in the retronasals, perhaps a bit mashy. Rich bitter hops dominate the taste, but they’re in perfect balance with the sweetness, and gently roastiness, of the malts. Alas there’s a little bit of wateriness, hard water, to the taste too, perhaps a little chalky.
4 Full palate, smooth and heavy. Crisp carbonation keeps it light. Finish quite gently bitter given it’s potency, it’s just a serious hoppy taste, not a silly one.
14 Great to see these beers coming in at moderate strengths, they are much more drinkable than the syrupy alcoholic ones. Another instant hit by Christian, I could session this I’m sure.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Orange, hazy, short to average and fully diminishing head. Light to moderate malty and sweetish aroma, fruity, some grapefruit hoppyness and caramel. Body is light to medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, caramel and light fruitiness together with light grapefruit hoppyness. Finish is short to average, malty and lightly caramel sweetish. OK quite light bodied PA – there are better ones from Beer Here.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
29-OCT-2010, bottle @home, from "Superbest".
Golden/orange with white head.
Lovely aroma of fresh hops.
Taste is even better. Very much on the flowery side, but ends in fine bitternes. Watery mouthfeel, but apart from that a wonderful brew.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: MAR 30, 2012 Hazy light amber with a small beige head. Nectarine and pine aroma with some citrus. Slightly cheesy yeast note that really doesn’t belong at all. It’s there and stronger in the taste too, under sweet nectarines pears and more citrus than pine. Rather watery. Some bitterness at the end. BB 6/11, but this didn’t travel at all well (a shame, because HopFix sure did). [2.3]
Growler. Hazy golden amber with a white head. Aroma of grapefruit, nectarines, caramel, pine. Sweet with stone fruit and a fair bit of caramel; grapefruit and pine return to the fore in a fairly bitter finish and there’s a little harshness there. The off yeast flavours from last time are absent, but there’s a doughy yeast note that is odd - stops the beer from being too watery, but doesn’t quite fit.
