4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Malus Pater is another one of the many provocative labels Beer Here almost become known for presenting intermittently. There have been labels that the danish supermarket COOP found offensive and had to replace with new labels, labels with TinTin exposed as a Nazi, and so this label clearly sends its signal on sexual abuse of altar boys in the Catholic Church. Beer Here is Beer Here. Take the beers as they are, and if you put too many emotional values in their provocations as it merely provides that you miss some damn good beers.
The color is almost black, and from the glass with the weak foam increases the wildest fruit aromas in the air. It is an inferno of fruit, so it’s virtually impossible to keep them separate. The flavor is a nice warming alcohol feeling on a deep vinous background. At high concentrations can now separate the raisins, figs and prunes from fruit impressions know. It leaves a long and very pleasant aftertaste.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
50 cl bottle @ hotel room, Copenhagen. Batch #59, BBE 09/2019
Aroma has strong hayish malt and berries typical to Danish ales. Flavour has berries, some chocolatey malt, alcohol and raisins. Not that good for a quad but this is one of those beers I bought for the label.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours ruby red with small head. Aroma: yeast, malt, some earthy aromas. Taste: not sweet (contrary to what I would expect from a quad), full bodied, with some hopps in the background. Well hidden ABV. A good quad, but I was expeting a more revolutionary attitute to this style from the brewers!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Olympen. Dark brown, small head. Dark fruit and nutty nose. More nuts in the mouth plus dust and sweeter prunes and plums. A great dessert beer it is.
