Brown ale with a decent head. Earthy aroma of grain, some cocoa, flavor has a hint a chocolate in there over a solid base of grain. Some earth mushroom, forest floor essence. Full bodied, well balanced beer. Very nice

Pours clear amber-brown with three fingers of pillowy tan head, excellent retention and lacing. (4/5) Nose is molasses, green spruce tips, bready caramel malt, floral. (6/10) Taste is moderate sweet, moderate bitter, slight spiciness. (6/10) Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, lightly spicy finish. (4/5) Feels very nordic - the combination of spicy rye, green wood, and dark malt feels like something that would be very appropriate to drink in the nordic darkness waiting for spring to arrive... He said, drinking in the nordic darkness, waiting for spring to arrive. Definitely an old-fashioned, hearty brew. (14/20)

Tap@ølhus cph. Reddish hazy. Sweet malty, ryeish, very malty nose. Med,full bodied, slight oily, some alchohol, sweet malty, dried fruity, some smokyness. Very flavourful ale. And good, if your into bocks and other slight sweet powerfully, malty brews. Ok though, even if not.

Draught@Ølhus Kobenhavn, Helsinki. Murky brown color, lasting off-white head. Sweet, slightly fruity aroma. Juicy malt flavor with oak and some winy notes. Smoky finish with rye. Full body, medium-light carbonation. Seems more like a barley wine than a porter. Not bad, though.

Tap @ Ølhus Stockholm, Helsinki. Pours a brownish amber with a good, beige head. Aroma is a lot of rye, juniper berries. Taste is rye, caramel, yeast, banana, quite sweet. Too much so to be pleasant. Fairly full, smooth, light carbonation.
