COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale Hops unite the best from the American and British traditions in ale brewing. With a complex malt profile and a solid foundation of floor malted Maris Otter barley malt, this beer is intensely spiced with some of the most expressive American hops.

Light amber in color with a pungent aroma of grape fruit, hay and oranges leading to a smooth palate with light breadiness and slight sweetness balancing the hops bitterness, which lingers in the back of the mouth.

Ingredients: Maris Otter Pale malt, Wheat malt, German and British caramel malt, Belgian Special B dark caramel malt, Amarillo, Centennial, Simcoe and Chinook hops. American yeast. 40 IBU.

Aroma is citrus, clove , an earthiness and slightly roasty malts with a hint of caramel. Taste is rich malts consumed by deep hops. Hops are akin to the aroma mostly with some tanin on tip. Appearance is a hazy orange with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.

Pours clear pale amber with two fat fingers of pillowy tan head, excellent retention and lacing. (4/5) Nose is caramel and bready malt, pine and citrus. (6/10) Taste is moderate sweet, moderate bitter. (6/10) Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, slightly oily finish. (4/5) A somewhat malt forward APA that might be suffering slightly from a slight dimming of the hops as a result of being a little after its best-by. Nothing too dramatic or interesting, but solid.
