COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale Hops unite the best from the American and British traditions in ale brewing. With a complex malt profile and a solid foundation of floor malted Maris Otter barley malt, this beer is intensely spiced with some of the most expressive American hops.

Light amber in color with a pungent aroma of grape fruit, hay and oranges leading to a smooth palate with light breadiness and slight sweetness balancing the hops bitterness, which lingers in the back of the mouth.

Ingredients: Maris Otter Pale malt, Wheat malt, German and British caramel malt, Belgian Special B dark caramel malt, Amarillo, Centennial, Simcoe and Chinook hops. American yeast. 40 IBU.

Vague hoppy aroma, sweetish malts. Has all the dullness I associate with beers described as APAs. I’d even go as far as saying it’s dishwatery in the mouth. However it’s cold. A little bit of warming and swirling later, and it’s a much more spicy - sweet and zesty, cut mixed peel. Quite thin and fizzy palate. Easily drinkable, but dull, and way below what I expect from Beer Here.

Clear orange beer with a nice creamy head leaving lacing on the glass. Hoppy aromas of pines and sweet exotic fruits, maybe mango. Also a pretty sweet aroma. Taste is mostly sweet and bitter with a long, dry, licoricy bitter finish. The body is medium full.

On tap @ Schouskjelleren. This is a light blurry golden one and it had a heavy lacing and somewhat lasting small off-white head. Lovely fruity and sweet nose. This is the hop mixture that im really in to. Fresh peachy-sweet with lots of citrus and some frozen strawberries. Not as fresh and tasty on the taste however, as it’s more earthy and a tad to old-bitter to be really lightdrinkable. It has a nice light oily mouthfeel and a average carbonation level. Watermelon syrup with traces of grapefruit zest and bitter pomelo. It’s hurting my tongue in a way. Strange, as I can’t remember a beer doing that before. A little bit of cucumber and really butter nuts-gone-bad in the slightly yeasty finish. Finally a beer from Beer here I’m not utterly in love with! Woohoo! 24.05.2013

Draught. Pours hazy amber with a small off-white head. Light fruityness in aroma, feels almost tropical at some times. Also a bit of hay and grapefruit is present. Fresh grassy notes appears later on. Subtle grassy bitterness in taste, bit of mild soap and floral notes too. Refreshing and has a nice bitter afterpunch to offer. Soft and no sign of harshness, nice one.

(on tap @ Café Habengut) Pours a slightly hazy amber with medium, white head. Decent retention and beautiful lace. Aroma is malty with notes of bread. Medium to light body, soft carbonation and a grassy, bitter finish. Flavour has more of the hops making it moderately bitter with a little sweetness upfront. Tasty but could probably be more fresh - at least I would have enjoyed more hop presence in the aroma.
