0.5L botttle from Kihoskh, København. Pours an unclear dark brown body with a reddish hue. Two fingers of creamy beige foam on top. Roasted dark malts on the nose. Subtle smoke, and a scent of burnt caramel. Much of the same flavorwise. Well roasted dark malts in the lead, added by discreet smoke/ash tones, and with hints of burnt caramel and bitter coffee. Smooth on the palate. Medium full. Roasted and malty-bitter endnotes. Solid stuff, nicly balanced.

Slightly hazy brown beer with a short but stable beige head. Hard roasted malty aroma with notes of coffee, caramel, nuts and mild smoke. Taste is medium sweet and bitter with smokey notes and some citrus from the hops. I am a little disapointed at my first sip - and my second - but this one actually grows on you. It’s very well-balanced with a delicate touch of smoke. The body is medium, the texture is oily bordering on watery, carbonation is soft, finish is dry and bitter.

mile (3046) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 8, 2011
Bottle. Dark brown, very small and fully diminishing light brown head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aromas, roasted malt some smokiness and faint licorice. Body is medium, malty and sweetish flavor, roasted malt, some coffee and faint licorice. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, roasted malt, some coffee and bitter hoppyness, faint licorice. Sweetish porter with some roastiness (no bacon) and coffee. Bit too sweet and could use more hoppyness to balance the sweetness and coffee.
