COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

mile (3131) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 8, 2011
Bottle. Dark brown, very small and fully diminishing light brown head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aromas, roasted malt some smokiness and faint licorice. Body is medium, malty and sweetish flavor, roasted malt, some coffee and faint licorice. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, roasted malt, some coffee and bitter hoppyness, faint licorice. Sweetish porter with some roastiness (no bacon) and coffee. Bit too sweet and could use more hoppyness to balance the sweetness and coffee.

Bottle. Drinkable yet not very exciting. Not very smokey. The best thing about it is the creamy texture.

(Rating #6900) Bottle… Pours a cloudy dark brown with a small, creamy, khaki head. Good retention. The bouquet presents smoky caramel and milk chocolate with a little splash of amaretto. Full-bodied and chewy with faint carbonation. The flavor is smoky and quite burnt and roasty. Leans bitter. Tangy, lightly roasty finish. Bottle courtesy of Plovmand!

0.5 l bottle at Chris O’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011. Dark reddish brown color. Sweet with plenty of milk chocolate and nutty maltiness. This type of milk chocolate taste is not my thing.

Dark mahogany color, with nice red shades; medium sized compact head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, dust, ashes. Smooth mouthfeel; good chocolate flavor, very light sourness and maybe smoke; light residual sweetness. Woody character, mostly in the end. Good.
