Bottle @ FOneFan. Vey dark brown with small beige head. Flavour is roasted malts, caramel, sweet, chocolate, smoke, bitter and hops.

DEC11: nice porter with a good smoky flavor. will not be too much even if you are exposed to a pint. I expected more intense røgsmag.Meget smoky aroma but only slightly smoky in flavor.

Smooth and mellow with a light smokey finish on each sip. Really enjoyed kicking back the end of the day raining outside and sipping on this porter.

Bottle. Smoked wood, tar and a hint of rubber in aroma. Dark brown colour with beige head. Smoked, bitter flavour with anis and some dark chocolate. Long aftertaste of liquorice.

Dark ruby, firm beige head. Malty sweetness, discreet balance by background hops, mild smokiness. A bit too polite. Smoke in the finish. Would be nice with food.

Bottled. Pours clear deep brown with an average sized, creamy, beige head. Fair lacing. Nose of roasted malts, smoke and caramel. Sweet flavor with brown sugar, ash, roasted caramel and chocolate notes.. Medium to full bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. Ends up more dry with a soft malt bitterness. Quite delicious.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours dark, dark brown with a small off white head. Aroma is simple but pleasant - smoked wood, roasted malts, chocolate. Very ’woody’ to smell. Taste is very pleasant. Dark and toasted malts with cocoa powder and charred wood tones. The smokiness to it isn’t overpowering but rather subtle and adds a nice touch to a fairly easy drinking and flavoursome porter. (50 cl bottle from Kervan) Pours a clear, dark brown with rich toffee head. Decent lace and retention. Aroma is like the smoke that comes from a woodfired stove with some additional toasted grainy and slightly acidic notes. Creamy palate, full body, medium carbonation and a dark and slightly astringent finish. Taste is dark toasted grain - not that bitter - with some acidic notes. A nicely toned down use of smoke with a sufficiently dark body for the smoke to complement it without being akin to Northsea oil. Girlfriend says: "It’s extremely smokey - it’s a bit too much for me."

Delt med Rolf. Sort øl med lille skum. Fin aroma af lakrids, malt, røg og en dejlig sødme. Smagen er også præget af disse karakteristika, dog er røgen mere tydelig, kaffe kommer til, og alt i alt er øllen dejlig afbalanceret med den omtalte sødme. Lidt ost. Bitterheden er lidt underspillet, men det passer denne øl pga. dens i forvejen udprægede sødme. Fin cremet og blød mundfornemmelse, dog ikke noget usædvanligt, og den kunne måske godt være en lille anelse tykkere. Alt i alt, endnu en ganske god oplevelse fra Beer Here.

Aroma is really nice with lots of milk chocolate and some coffee. Flavour starts hoppy and continues with chocolate and coffee. Some smoke and in the finish. Good, although a bit too hoppy for my taste.

Ha un bel naso e una certa complessità gustativa, ma mi risulta inndigesta a lungo andare.
