Bottle. Sensoric. Pitch black with light brown, semi-densed head. Poor lacing and head retention. Definetely milk chocolate aroma, earthy, ashy also some light dry coffee aromas. Taste is semi-dry with some light bitterness. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, finish is semi-dry and dull. In general not the best baltic porter I’ve tried.

0,5 l bottle purchased at Systembolaget for 25 kr. Pours pitch black with medium level lacing. On the nose, malt, chocolate, and some coffee. Taste is a nicely combined mix of malt, chocolate and coffee. It has a well balanced, smooth feel with some bitterness in the end. A good porter I would recommend drinking at cellar or room temperature.

Riktigt gott. En riktigt bra kraftfull porter

dambor (327) - Berlin, GERMANY - MAY 24, 2015
Pours pitch black with medium head. Aroma: beautiful, strong and complex aroma of dark chocolate, raisins, coffee and some pleasant liquor elements (whiskey), together with some barrel-vanilla. Taste: good chocolate mixed with coffee, roastiness, some sour elements in the background. Warming palate. Good porter, different from the classical Baltic Porters I know, which are more sweet.

(Bottle @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, Feb 13 2015) Black pour with an average tan bubbly head. Aroma of coffee, touch of cocoa powder, dark fruit with a light sweetness, earthy sort of roast. On the palate, earthy roast coffee, dried dark fruit, cream, a touch of brown sugar sweetness at first. Dry and dusty towards the finish, coffee ground roast, a little earth, gives some bitterness. Creamy but still kind of thin ln the mouth with soft carb. Decent baltic porter, just didn’t blow me away. All the elements are there but nothing stands out.
