Bottle at Cookie. Great baltic porter. Aromas of chocolate, vanilla, caramel, notes of smoke and liquorice. Taste is sweet and bitter, with very long length. Palate is syrupy, and full bodied. Black, with a frothy off-white head.

Hearty aroma has firm roast malt, molasses, caramel, quality coffee and subtle semi-sweet chocolate. Pours a luscious opaque coffee brown with a thick, fluffy and fine-bubbled tan head that sticks around long enough to "pillow." Sublime flavor blends molasses, roast malt, woody hop and mocha flavors, with sweetness and bitterness that balance nicely. Firm, smooth texture has a good amount of fizz, and is the only weak point (and not much of one!) for this brew. If you like porters, this is definitely a must.

500ml bottle from Archive. Mountainous deep dark tan head atop a thick looking black beer. Aromas of vanilla and dark chocolate hit the nose followed by some aniseed. Once you cut through the foam you find a powerful chocolate flavour that coats the tongue and penetrates the whole mouth.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2013 Bottle at Schouskjelleren (Oslo, Norway, 16/1/13)
Aroma: Burnt malt, sea water, and licorice. Some coffee and chocolate in the finish.
Appearance: Dark brown/black with a large frothy hazel head. Great lacing.
Taste: Salty. Bitter in the finish.
Palate: One of the most palatable beers I’ve had recently. Full bodied, creamy/oily texture, and a lively prickly carbonation. If every Baltic Porter were like this, I’d have a new favorite style.
(Updated in order to correct mistake. Was in fact a bottle, rather than a tap offering)

Dought at Cervezorama. Fantastic Baltic Porter. Dark fully opaque brown body with a finger of creamy beige head. The nose is sweet and roasted well with a bit of candied notes and chocolate. Quite syrupy mouthfeel with definite sweetness throughout. Great roasted complexion with big dark chocolate and torrefaction flavors. Overall a nice sipper.

Strong coffee aroma and flavours, a very dark rich beer with a sweet aftertaste. A very, very good beer.

Tap at Black Swan. Very thick deep black with a lovely beige creamy hea, beautiful retention and nice lace. Intense aroma of ryebread, dark malts, light roast, dark fruits, licorice. Taste is sweet lightly roasted malts and fruity hops leading to a lingering medium grapefruity bitter finish.

Bottle. Black with a thin creamy tan head. Sweet chocolate and light citrus aroma and taste with strong roasted grain notes through out and a robust chocolate finish. Amazing silky yet creamy full bodied palate. Well done.

Jado (441) - Camp Hill, AUSTRALIA - FEB 13, 2013
Pours a deep dark brown with red highlights and a thick tan head. Smells great, with lots of dark chocolate coming through, with a little hint of smoke as well. Chocolate is prominent on first tasting it, but then a big whack of bitterness - dark chocolate, black coffee and raw cocoa - barges into the mid-palate. It finishes a bit more cleanly than expected with even a bit of green apple tartness at the end. Medium to thick body, with a lingering aftertaste. This is a pretty spectacular Baltic porter.
