3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle and served in BCS snifter: Not exactly sure what a Scandinavian-Styled Porter is supposed to be but this Baltic is surprisingly more bitter than expected (but is Not a Black IPA) with lot of liquorice and coffee along with some moderate earthy undertones. Porter-ish body and aggressive mouth feel that is ashy and a touch medicinal. Honestly this is a letdown for what I paid for it and my past experience with Beer Here brews. Needs more dark fruits OR just become a blackened IPA and amp up the tropical fruity hops for right now this does not know what it’s supposed to be.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: AUG 8, 2014 Bottle, 7.5%. Cream and coffee aroma, also smells nicely roasted. Black colour. Good stable brown head. The flavour is nicely roasted with a little coffee, faint salty note. Late hop flavour, floral, herbal, soapy, and slightly jammy. Rather high bitterness and not a lot of sweetness to balance, but a good and flavourful beer. Late coffee aftertaste.
