50cl bottle from Discount. Pours black-brown with a tan head. Nice lacing that stuck around and around. Aroma has cocoa, licorice and molasses. Taste is of strong bitter roasted malt, sweet molasses and chocolate. More and more cocoa through the glass. A bit rough. Finishes strongly bitter with some sweetness. Molasses thick and sweet with licorice salty at the end. Definitely the baltic-y roughness, but a lot of flavor too.

Bottle. Deep, deep brown almost black, Fast dissipating head. Subdued dark chocolate, touch of chocolate, forest fruits, cherry, sweet elements. The sweetness of the aroma belies the the dry finish. A touch of smoke, espresso and cherry notes throughout. Dry yet smooth.

Svart öl med beige skum. Doft av choklad, karamell, rostad malt och mörkt bröd. Detsamma men djupare i smaken.

Bottle. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate and roasted malts. Taste of chocolate, coffee, tobacco and licorice, with some fruity hop flavours hanging in the background. Oily with medium carbonation. Aftertaste that lasts a LONG time. A very good Baltic porter.

On tap at Fermentoren Aarhus. Pours a pitch black with a big, brown, thick head. Aroma has lots of chocolate, cocoa powder, milk chocolate, tobacco, light leathery smoke, roasted malts, licorice. Taste is sweet, milk chocolaty up front, gets more roasted and more bitter. Average carbonation and a somewhat full body.

McWorta (1414) - LUXEMBOURG - JUN 13, 2016
Pitch black with a fine poring tan head offering solid viscosity. Noses of dark brown grainy bread, coffee, roasted malts with hints of liquorice and pepper. Fine perlage, lightly smooth with a pronounced yet lean body on the mouthfeel. Roast malt and bitter chocolate/coffee is predominant. Well balanced with a medium finish at first but the roast malt stays for ages.

Black color with tan head. Aroma has roasted malts and dark fruits like cherries and plums. Taste follows with the intense roasted malts, some dark fruits but mostly it’s roasty with a good kick coffee bitterness on the finish. Medium body and carbonation. Overall it’s a nice Baltic Porter, smooth and easy to drink.
