50 cl bottle from Vinmonopolet CC Vest. Pours pitch black with a large brown head that is creamy and stays for a good time. Leaves a nice lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate and roasted malts. Medium sweetness, medium bitterness, long bitter finish. Very complex and well balanced. Great porter.

Very dark brown color, almost completely black, big tan head. Lots of lacing. Aroma of milk chocolate and vanilla. Taste is pretty much the same. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Enjoyable.

Bottle a direct purchase from BOE shop/warehouse, Spechey, Kings Lynn, consumed at home Sunday 4th January 2015 Pours black with creamy tan head. A little coffee on nose and also in mouth, in fact quite a bit of coffee. Fruity, roasty but mainly coffee showing. Its very good, however I felt it was just a little bit flat, and a little thin at times and just a tad one dimensional. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Aroma is yeast, dark malts, chocolate and a hint of fruit. The flavor is dark fruit/very slightly vinous, chocolate/cocoa, dark malts and an acidic/slick finish.

Tasting at Paul and Lorna’s flat. Deepest Croydonia. Thanks to Colin. Opaque black - brown beer, good tan head. Palate is airy and dry. Good fine carbonation. Mild dark malts, little lactose like sweetness. Unsweet dark chocolate. Whisper of alcohol spice. Fine.

Bottle at the pre-Zwanze tasting in Croydonia, from a trade, 20/09/14. Black with a decent tan covering that retains. Nose carries a big roasted blast, earthy cocoa, dark toffee fudge, spice, molasses. Taste comprises earthy roastings, dark fruit rinds, ash, dark fruits, dates, lightly burnt brown sugars, molasses. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with earthy roastyness in the close. Solid Baltic Porter.

TET (1808) - FINLAND - SEP 23, 2014
A black beer with a creamy, medium, and brown head. The aroma is powerful, strongly roasted, salt liquirice, and coffee. Also milder nuancees as dark chocolate, sweet syrup, and fresh marzipan. Taste has black coffee, chocolate, richness of malts. Dry roastiness and some hops in the end. Almost full bodied, smooth enough. Succesfully, powerful, and complex Porter.
