COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Hazy golden color. Some aroma of coriander and vegetables. Weak body, some caramel flavor and too much vegetables. Bad.

2009-05-11, draught at Plan B, Copenhagen, 6-3-5-2-11= 27
Cloudy blond color. The aroma has some wheat, sweetish, and light fruits, light banana. The mouthfeel is quite dry, without a specific flavor, with some added spices, a bit peppery, and more bitter than a common wheat beer. In the final there is still a hint of banana, appreciated. Not bad but not interesting either.

Hazy pale yellow with a firm white head. The aroma has a hint of banana, but spice dominates, coriander, and a touch of clove. The flavour is first of all refreshing citrus, with white bread, spice and fruit. Smooth and perfectly carbonated for optimal quenching quality. Had availability and price been a little better, it would be hard to imagine a hot day without a pint or two...

33 cl bottle from Systembolaget, BB 12-01-12. Sampled on September 4, 2011
Hazy copper color, frizzy white head. Phenolic, Belgian yeast, some tin can and electrical wires, smoke scent, also some orange peel and sort of sweet. Acidic, spicy, phenolic, thin taste. Also yeast. Dry finish. Thin mouthfeel, some alcohol warming. Thin dry bitterness.
A far cry from what I had as Tia Loca on tap, too bad.

50cl bottle, and a nicely labelled bottle it is indeed, I ’m a bit of a Tintin myself. Hazy bright yellow, firm foaming pale head. Strong soapy & spicy coriander nose, wheat, lovely banana. Flavor isn’t as heavy on the coriander, there’s more white pepper, loads of wheat, spiciness, mild and nicely fitting sourish edge, banana and maybe mint, not that fruity overall. Sweetish, lemon soapy witbier finish. Medium bodied, strong and pretty mouthfilling carbonation. A solid Wit with little German notes in there, definitely a quencher.

It is unclear, warm golden with a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of wheat, coriander, yeast and citrus. The flavour has sweetness and notes of banana, clove, wheat, oranges, coriander and the finish is slightly dry and spicy. It is a very successful mix between German and Belgian wheat beers, truly nice!

Draught. [Beer festival 2009] Average bubbly white head that mostly lasted. Fair display of lacework. Cloudy light golden color. Aroma of wheat, citrus, coriander, fruit, floral notes. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Light to moderated sweet flavor. Light wheat like finish.

TET (1756) - FINLAND - JUL 3, 2009
Cloudy, light yellow beer with medium white head. Aroma is weird and it is like white wine and pear cider: sour and sweet perry. Flavour is more typical wheat beer, quite dry, some pears, yeast, sourness and some spicy. Nice and easy to drink, but still slippery and enough of body. Tia Loca is interesting beer that would need another taste before final judge, but even now it is very interesting beer, absolutely worth to try.

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2011 Bottled (BB04/2010). Hazy yellow color, medium-sized white head ... quite Hoegaardish. Banana and bubblegum in the nose with very evident coriander aroma. Crisp, citrus-limey. Orange peels, coriander and bubblegum. Lime and coriander in the aftertaste. Reasonably refreshing summer brew, but not very complex. This is much more Belgian than German. (7/3/7/3/13 3.3)
Bottled 33cl as "Vårwit"
Pikkulintu. Hazy orange color, small white head. Bubblegummy and spicey aroma. Light body. Bubblegum and banana in the flavor plus quite bitter hoppy/spiceyness. Good German/Belgian mix. (7/3/7/3/13 3.3)

Bottle, at Copenhagen Beerfestival. A hazy, yellow-golden beer with a white head. Orange, banana and lemon in the aroma, with spicy notes and a wheaty touch. The wheat is left in the background in the flavor too, with the orange, banana and lemon doing most of the job, slightly supported by spiced notes. Dry, medium body, and a dry, bitter finish hiding most of the spices. Some notes of white sugar blends in. A quenching and well-tasting beer. (090516)

Bottle. Frothy white good mostly deminishing head. Yellow cloudy colour. Light malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Surprisingly week yeasty notes. Moderate bitter flavor, dominated by citrus notes especially grape and lime. Average finish. Oily palate. Onedimensional and a little boring.
