COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Hazy pale yellow with a firm white head. The aroma has a hint of banana, but spice dominates, coriander, and a touch of clove. The flavour is first of all refreshing citrus, with white bread, spice and fruit. Smooth and perfectly carbonated for optimal quenching quality. Had availability and price been a little better, it would be hard to imagine a hot day without a pint or two...

Tap @ Brewpub, Cph.
Pours pale, muddy yellow with a fine, staying, frothy, white head. Aroma has lemons, light flowery hops, mint and lots of wheat. Highish carbonation, a bit watery palate. Flavour is a bit spicy, some coriander, piney hops and lemons. This is all atop of a fat, wheaty background. A bit of a bastard between styles.

Bottle. Frothy white good mostly deminishing head. Yellow cloudy colour. Light malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Surprisingly week yeasty notes. Moderate bitter flavor, dominated by citrus notes especially grape and lime. Average finish. Oily palate. Onedimensional and a little boring.

tap at globen, cph. cloudy orange, small white head. aroma is citrussy, lacto, spicy, mild, faint. flavor is sweet, slighly citirc, milk, rather mild, and a little yeast. only after sampling and rating did i discover it was supposed to be a wheat beer, in that regard it’s quite okay, bordering good.

Bottle from Tbone, thanks! A disgusting beer label, but the beer is OK. Blonde, cloudy. Banana, coreander and lemon peel in the aroma and flavor. Fruity but also a bit spicy. Phenolic.

UPDATED: JUL 14, 2011 500ml bottle (K CM, Kamppi)
Pale hazy orange, small tight head. Initially citrussy, then wheaty and yeasty aroma. Finally, bananaey and very perfumey. Lively carbonation, slightly watery palate, but refreshing. Really is about half way between wit and a hefe. Unfortunately that means it’s lacking the body of a good hefe and the crispness of a good wit. Despite that, it’s a tasty summer brew, with a decent range to its flavours, even if there’s nothing new. (6:4:6:3:12=3.1)
Rerate: 330ml bottle (K Market, Kamppi) as Vaarwit - wtf - stop doing dodgy rebadges! That’s put me in a bad mood when drinking this, as I wouldn’t splash out Scandinavian beer prices for such a mediocre brew voluntarily. Aroma was duller, flavour was duller, palate was a little fuller, and overall I’m a little less impressed. (5+:4:5+:3+:10). Brewdog seem to have spoilt this one.

Bottled. Pale yellow coloured. Unclear. Dense white head. Sweetness, orange, light fruits and light cloves in the aroma. Flavour is citric, sweet, bananaish and spiced. Medium bodied. Dry. Sweetish and spiced end. Could be a bit more flavourful, but it’s quite refreshing. The label is great humor IMO and gives an extra point to the appearance.

from Erzbierschof - hazy pale blond beer with a persistent white foam; coriander festival in the nose leaving not much place for some citric and orange peels notes; sticky and thin-bodied; velvety yet slightly acidic on the end; more heavy coriander presence in the aftertaste - for coriander geeks only

Hazy yellow with a medium white head. Aroma was fairly dry with wheat, lemons and yeasty notes. Flavour was quite dry with lemons, wheat, yeast and wheat notes. Finished sourish and dry. Not bad for the style.
