Bottle. Cloudy golden beer with a frothy white head. The aroma is yeasty, malty and hopped. The flavour is very bitter and dry with hops in abundance, and a long dry finish. Overall a nice well hopped beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours hazy pale gold with a thin white head. Aromas of lemon and light malt. Taste is more lemon bitter, bit of yeast. Oily texture. Finishes more lemon! OK, expected something a bit more lager-y.

33 cl. bottle. Hazy amber-golden with a big, fluffy white head. Fruity aroma with pale malts, grasses, bread, hints of citrus and a earthy-spiced note. Taste is bitter. Light to medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and bitter with grasses, bread, and pale malts. Nice Kellerbier with a little more hops bite than usual..

First foray into Zwickels. First impression is that it’s aroma is reminiscent of a mash-up between a pale ale and a pilsner. Owed largely to its lager malt, lemon hops, straw notes. Some bready yeast as well makes for an interesting if slightly sickly nose. Flavor is all of the above minus the fruity-hops. There’s some spicy earthy hop notes that are present into the lightly bitter-finish. Like the palate the flavor is a little introverted. If you seek refreshment in a beer this is a decent alternative to the faceless, macro-lagers.

Draught (flight) @ Fairbar, Aarhus. Pours hazy amber with small white head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with notes of hops. Dusty and hoppy flavour, clearly making one think of basement notes. Mild finish, with faint, bitter notes. Low carbonation. OK but nothing really special.

(on tap @ Fermentoren as "Ugly Duck Amarillo keller, tap #8" on April 21st 2013) Pours a slightly hazy amber with medium, white head. Beautiful lace and good retention. Aroma is relatively subdued fresh hops with hints of citrus. Oily texture, medium to light body, lively carbonation and a short, wet and not too bitter finish. Flavour is pleasantly hoppy without too much bitterness. Quite drinkable and fresh.
