On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Festival. Pours a disappointingly clear golden body (shouldn’t it be hazy, just for the theme?) with a small white head. Taste is peat and wheat, bouncing off each other. Some strange, lactic soap-like notes in the aftertaste. As psychedelic as it sounds, this beer should be served in small bongs instead of sampler glasses. :-) Never had anything like it, and recommend anyone to try even though it’s not really too nice. Beer Here once again gets extra props for originality, even if the beer simply was too weird for me. Pass the water pipe instead. ;-)

Palme (3935) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUN 1, 2011
Sampled @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011 from a 0.5l bottle. Pours a hazy yellow/golden body with a small off-white fluffy head. Aroma is unique to say the least. Notes of yeasty smoke combined with some strange smoked herbs, grass and some sweet malts. Medium body, oily texture and softly carbonation. Tastes quite herbal and grassy with a smoky caramel flavor and a decent bitter aftertaste. Strange and not like any other smoked I’ve had before.

Bottle. Amazing label. "dunkel" color. quite flat aroma and taste. The "wheat" side is very very weak. The only interesting aspect of this beer is the nice but not very strong burnt/smoked aftertaste and finish. Refreshing but boring. Worst beer here i had so far.

Rusty yellow color, very small white head. The aroma has some very strange stuff going on. You have the faint yet adequately apparent smoke with some spices and some yeasty stuff as well. Not very nicely balanced, though. Taste is just plain, damn weird. Not as much smoke, but lots of sugar, marshmallows, sour brett and apples.
