3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
500ml bottle. Plenty of smoke in the aroma and the flavour. The beer sits well in the glass with a solid head and plenty of smokiness going on. One of the more intense and interesting smoked beers I have had.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle (at Josie Bones in Melbourne, Australia). Simply weird. The underlying light smokiness as kind of ’fishy’, and this plays oddly against the fruit and spice. One of those beers that could drink many times and still not work it all out. "Complex" doesn’t even begin to describe it.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from bierkompass. Dark golden color with huge white head towering over my glass. Strong carbonation. Aroma of caramel, honey, wheat, red fruits, smoke. Taste, caramel, honey, some fruit, spices, light bitterness, smoke in background. Fruity, light bitter finish. Unusual, but good.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Small amberish head over metallic-copper beer, well carbonated. Smoked, phenolic and seeweed or algae; salty/brackish smelling. Smoked, but toasted too, hint at chocolate and always returning to... toasted cornflakes or something similar. Smokiness is relatively mild, wheat is totally in check, not souring out like some German Rauchweizens. Very well-carbonated, spritzy, much more refreshing than most smoked beers. I rather like this. It is totally original, setting one on the wrong foot at every turn - but finally it’s pleasing. At least to me.

Tasted @ Søgaards Bryghus. Dark golden with a small off-white head. Strong aroma of smoke, raw bacon and hint of caramel. Flavor is malt, wheat, smoke and barbeque. Quite light body and flavor, still strong on the smoked side. A bit weird, but able to get used to it.
