3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. This bottle says "Yule Ale" but the picture is the same. Dark brown and hazy. A nice beige head is two fingers and lasts well. Malt and grain with fruit in the aroma. Malty fruit are also prominent flavor themes. Yeast and dark sugar. Hops are tasted but they are light. Bitterness is moderate. Alcohol is not over done but grows. It also adds warming on this Christmas Eve.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours a dirty chestnut brown with a pool of beige bubbles on top. Aroma is quite bland. Orange and nuts mixed with a bland lager yeast type of aroma. Much better taste. Lots of spices followed by nuts - pastachio, macadamia. Ok but not like their other stuff

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at Ølbaren, Copenhagen
Dark amber color; creamy head. Mild aroma of caramel, and very light dust. Good body structure; malt and caramel flavor, reminiscent of American Barley Wines, but less syrupy and bold than the average; strong bitterness but without hop character. Good to drink, but not exciting.

Flavor follows the nose with lots of dark fruits again raisins, fig, and dates, along with caramel, brown sugar, light spice and dark berry notes. The body is medium with a dry mouthfeel. Overall a solid Barley Wine, but fairly disappointing compared to most of Beer Here’s brews.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
pours a dark and murky brown with a minimal white head. Nose is Biscuity malts and caramel with some vanilla and banana. Taste is hop bitterness in the very front which gives way to malty sweetness and transitions back to a bitter finish. Mouthfeel is astringent and oily with heavy body. This gets better as it warms so my advice would be to let it sit for while before indulging if you have kept it cool.
