1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 kermis (950) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - JUN 6, 2011
Draught it the brew pub. Amber with white head. Slightly musty aroma and overwhelming flavor of Alka Seltzer. Not the worst beer I’ve had by any means, but pretty bad. (Rated 2011/04/26)
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DruncanVeasey (5136) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - MAR 2, 2011
Sample at the brewpub. Dusted copper, white drum, lace specks. Negligible red apple and sesame-hinting aroma. Good sweet malt flavour; oily sesame, digestives. Lacks the richness and hop nuance of a marzen; some slightly damp English character on show. A little fizzy and lightweight, but tasty.

Draught at the brewpub (and a thanks to my friends for splitting the sampler threeways). Poured a hazy amber body. Sweetish malty nose. Nice grainy malty profile, quite true for a (German) Märzen. Slightly fruity. Not all that hoppy but nice enough.
