3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Bart (2919) - Brussels, BELGIUM - FEB 23, 2013
Draught @ Beer House, Tallinn. Light hazy golden blond coloured beer with some medium carbonation and a small white head. Rather herby grassy sweeter hinted aroma with a light fruity orangepeel hint. Medium to full palate. Finish is light hoppy and grassy with a light floral crisp, almost fruity hint. Not bad actually for a pilsener.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 agent_persik (106) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JAN 4, 2013
Cloudy yellow color, small white head, medium carbonation. Light malty aroma and taste with some hops. Got this beer when asked for most bitter one in Beer House, but bitterness is quite low, especially for a pilsner. OK, but nothing special.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Marduk (1266) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 8, 2012
Draught. Clear, fizzy amber color. Small, firm head, stays. Hops, malty, grassy aroma. Hops, malty, very mild bitterness, dry and dead yeast in flavor. I don’t think it’s as fresh as pilsner should be. Dull.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 kingstoni (755) - FINLAND - AUG 22, 2012
Tap at Beer House. Hazy medium yellow color with a foamy white head. Aroma of citrus, hops and birch leaves. Slightly sour malty taste. This doesn’t taste like a pilsener as its name suggests.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 JoeMcPhee (7625) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 25, 2011
Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy golden pour with a very tight white head. The aroma is loaded with bright zesty noble hops. Hay and lemongrass with a bit of fruity character. Peppery and quite dry. A lovely pilsner - wasn’t expecting to find a tasty pilsner on this trip, but I’m glad I did.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 omhper (17478) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 7, 2011
Draught at the brewpub. Hazy straw colour, small head. Distinct grassy hop aroma. Dry with crisp, fairly hard mouthfeel and light body. Grassy hops and bready malt. Marked bitterness. Too hard/clean malt to be nicely drinkable.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DruncanVeasey (6116) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Premier, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - MAR 2, 2011
From a platter of samples at the brewpub, Clear brass with a slim white cap and lace curtains. Good pine sap, beeswax, light flowery hop aroma. Richer malts than the helles suggesting caramel and shortbread. Orange rind bitterness in an abrupt finish. Lightly toasted, peanut-like afters. Very decent.
