On tap @ European Beerfistival. Pours black with a light brown head. Some bitterness, low sweetness and somewhat chocolaty. Mellow and very good aromas of smoke and leather. Nice and velvety mouthfeel. Well balanced. Awesome.

(Draught) Pours black with a brown head. The aroma is smoky up front with undertones of roasted malt. Light sweetish, some chocolate, caramel and light fruits. The flavour is heavily smoked and medium to heavily malty with notes of tar and fruits alongside a touch of chocolate and caramel. Fat body.

Ausgewogen malzig-cremiger Antrunk, etwas scharf. Minimal bananig. 12/13/12/12//13

Dry, lots of smoke, dark chocolate and licorice through out the beer. Intense all the way. Alcohol well hidden. Much drier than usual for the style. Very enjoyable.

On tap @ EBF 2008. Black body with a thin beige head. Aroma is roasted malt and tar. Flavor is sweet, burnt malt and bitter coffee. Quite masculine style, not exactly harmonic but rather straight forward sweet and bitter in a raw style.

On tap at the European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. A gorgeous looking beer with a small tan head. Coffee, roasted malt and mocha notes in the aroma. Slightly burnt and tar-ish too. Roasted malt, coffee, chocolate sweetness and a coffee-like bitterness lasting for a long time. Full-bodied. A really nice beer but I ended up with the impression of the beer being unbalanced in a way. (080912)
