esox (1168) - Oulu, FINLAND - NOV 21, 2011
Draught. Reddish orange colour, thin film of creamy head. Hoppy nose combines citrus and sweeter mango, pollen and berries. Caramelly malts on the background. Medium-sweet, caramelly and slightly dryfruity flavor, moderate bitterness (for the style) rises it head in the finish. Soft and slippery texture lacks some bite.

Much more tastier and more crispy with the hops than the one from tap.

Pours hazy amber color with medium head. Aroma of grass, wooden hops, caramel malts, light fruits and some metal at the end. Flavor of caramel malts, light fruits, dry hay and grape. Quite bitter and fruity palate.

Aroma is rather light and slightly sour with gastric acid, hops and wheat. Flavour is sourish with hops and gastric acid. Foamy palate. I have had better pint and bottle of this, seems that there is a quality problem with this beer.

50 cl bottle @ home, BBE 02/2014
Aroma has caramel, some hoppy notes and hints of raspberries. Flavour has caramel, some gooseberry bush, sweetish berry tones and hints of wood. A bit too sweet and could be more fruity too. Definitely better anyway.

Draught at Konttori, Tampere. Dark amber color. The aromas of citrus, grapefruit, toffee and dark caramel. Taste of bitter toffee with grapefruit and citrus. Full body. The bitterness is very hard and mouth numbing, which makes this very slow to drink.

ration (2004) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 3, 2011
UPDATED: NOV 22, 2011 Fresh from tap. A very nice bitter taste like a good IPA should. A different product from the older one I tasted before. Do not age this, drink it when you get the chance.

Finwe (414) - Grankulla, FINLAND - JUL 31, 2011
Draught @ SOPP 2011. Amber colour with off-white head. Citric, fruity aroma with some pine and malts. The flavour follows suit quite faithfully with an addition of some sweetness. Bitter, hoppy finish. Rather good beer.

6 Slightly lactic. Some big fruits, grapefruit, mandarin, and peach, blackcurrant and jam.
3 Cloudy orange, small head.
7 Super fruity hops, gentle and sweet malts.
4 Perfect balance. Lovely and dry. The word "Thornbridge" goes through my mind as I drink this. Great bitter finish, plenty of grapefruit, and some almost bocky huskiness too.
14+ This is a great IPA/APA. The lactic and jam aromas tell me it wasn’t 100% fresh, and I guess this would be a stunner in top condition.
Rerate: Tap (Villi Waino, Helsinki) (7:4:7:4:14+=3.6+)
lovely fruity aroma. Lovely full sweet rich body. Even some ginger and toffee. Super rich, and very full in the mouth. Mahogany. Quite similar to before but a bit better balanced, and fresher on the nose.

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2013 Bottle, BBE 03/14. Pours a dark burnished copper with a nice sized, yellowish brown head. Beautiful. Aroma is a lot of pine and grapefruit. Taste is dry and bitter. Some caramel and nuttiness in the malt base. Piney hopping, quite resinous. Some grapefruit, some orange marmalade, ESB-like, in the background. Full, good carbonation.

Tap @ SOPP Turku 2013. Pours a dark auburn with a large, yellowish-brown head. Aroma is lemon and lime, exotic fruits. Taste is semi-dry, turning drier on the finish, bitter. Caramel, exotic fruit, some pine, tad resinous. A bit light on the flavor if you consider it a DIPA, though I’ve always thought of CCCCC as a regular IPA. Quite full on the palate, well carbonated - not too much, just enough.

Tap @ HBF2011. Pours dark amber with a medium, off-white head that leaves lacing. Aroma is strongly of pine and grapefruit, Cascade-hops. Taste is much of the same, very dry, strongly bitter. Palate is medium+ and quite carbonated. Excellent.
